Paul Hofmann
VP, SAP LabsPaul Hofmann is the Vice President, Office of the Chief Scientist, SAP Labs at Palo Alto. Before joining SAP Research Paul worked for the SAP Corporate Venturing Group. Paul joined SAP 2001 as the Director of the Global Strategic Supply Chain Management Initiative EMEA. His pre-sales team designed and rolled out the SCM Value Based Selling Approach for EMEA and supported many crucial Supply Chain sales for SAP in EMEA. Dr. Shusaku Tsumoto

His research interests include approximate reasoning, data mining, fuzzy sets, granular computing, knowledge acquisition, mathematical theory of data mining, medical informatics & rough sets, and service-oriented computing.
He served as a President of International Rough Set Society from 2000 to 2005 and served as a PC chair of RSCTC2000, IEEE ICDM2002, RSCTC2004, ISMIS2005 and IEEE GrC2007. He also served as a Conference Chair of PAKDD 2008 and IEEE GrC 2009.
Fumihiro Maruyama
Managing Director, Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe LtdDr. Fumihiro Maruyama assumed the role of Managing Director, Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe, in 2008. He joined Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd., Kawasaki, Japan in 1978, where he was engaged in research and development of CAD (Computer-Aided Design), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solutions. Sorel Reisman
IEEE Computer Society PresidentDr. Sorel Reisman, 2011 President of the IEEE Computer Society, is Managing Director of the international, higher education consortium MERLOT.ORG, and Professor of Information Systems at California State University Fullerton. He has held senior management positions at IBM (Canada and US), Toshiba (US), and EMI (UK). He is a Senior IEEE member, was Vice President of the Computer Society Publications Board, and Vice President of the Electronic Products and Services Board where he developed and initiated the Computer Society’s eLearning and online books programs.
Dr. Reisman was editorial board member/columnist on IEEE Software, founding board member of IEEE Multimedia and IEEE ITPro, author of the column, The Ivory Tower, and reviewer for IEEE Transactions in Education. Reisman has presented/published 50+ articles and the books Multimedia Computing: Preparing for the 21st Century, and Electronic Learning Communities – Current Issues and Best Practices. He is an advisory board member of the Adobe Higher Education Advisory Board, a member of the MERLOT African Network, and liaison to the Australian, European, Japanese and Canadian national digital library consortium, GLOBE. Mark Stockman
Chair, ACM SIG for Information Technology Education Professor, University of CincinnatiMark Stockman is the Chair of the ACM Special Interest Group for Information Technology Education (SIGITE). ACM-SIGITE as a community has defined information technology (IT) as an academic discipline, published a model undergraduate IT curriculum and helped create accreditation guidelines for IT programs, and is now defining and promoting IT research within academia. ACM-SIGITE members are maid up primarily of graduate and undergraduate faculty of IT programs.
Mr. Stockman is an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati and serves as lead curriculum developer/faculty member for the Networking/System Administration specialization in the Information Technology degree program there. Alexander Pasik

Alexander Pasik’s career combines strategic and visionary consulting, entrepreneurial and operational expertise, investment research and advisory services, and academic depth in information technology. In the course of his career, he has founded and managed multimillion dollar departments at Gartner, Lazard Freres, and Ernst & Young, advised and participated in venture investments with an average rate of return of 40x, served as Chief Information Officer at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and the IEEE, and done so while continuing to contribute academically. Much of Dr. Pasik’s work has focused on research and research management in the information technology industry in which he has published and presented extensively on trends in IT and their affect on business models, processes, and fundamental industry shifts. For several of his client companies, he has managed and developed large-scale Internet-enabled businesses in technology, consumer and financial industries. Currently, Dr. Pasik is the Chief Information Officer at the IEEE and Adjunct Associate Professor of Computer Science at Columbia University.
Grace Y. Lin

Ralph Badinelli
Virginia TechRalph Badinelli is a professor in the Department of Business Information Technology of the Pamplin College of Business of Virginia Tech. He received Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Management from the Krannert Graduate School of Business of Purdue University, an M.S. degree in Physics from Purdue University, and a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Physics from Hofstra University. His teaching responsibilities are in the areas of operations management and quantitative methods for business at the undergraduate, MBA and doctoral levels. He has taught many executive-development seminars on the subjects of project management, quality improvement, production and inventory control, and business strategy.
Dr. Badinelli has published refereed articles across a wide range of topics including service science, inventory control policies, revenue management, probability estimation and decision analysis.

Prior to joining the University of Hawaii, Tung was on the faculty at NYU, the US Naval Postgraduate School, the Universities of Fribourg and Lausanne, Switzerland, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, together with other joint appointments. Tung has published 11 books and over 200 research articles. Tung's current research interests are on the effective use of information technology in organizations, in particular in inter-organizational collaboration and/or supply chain, on the design of agent-based systems for virtual collaboration and negotiation, and on IT-supported crisis management.
Hock-Hai Teo

Wolfgang Gentzsch
Strategic Consultant, HPC, GridDr. Wolfgang Gentzsch is a strategic consultant for HPC, Grid, and Cloud infrastructures, for governments, research, and industry, world-wide. He is Director At Large of the OGF Open Grid and Cloud Forum OGF for e-Infrastructure Standards and an advisor to the Distributed European Infrastructure for Supercomputing Applications (DEISA). From 2004–2008, he was a member of PCAST, the US President's Council of Advisors for Science and Technology. He directed the $150 Mio German D-Grid Initiative, and was a professor for computer science at Duke University in Durham and NC State in Raleigh, North Carolina, and at the University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg, Germany.

Timothy C. K. Chou
Board Member, Embarcadero Technologies, Advisory Board Member, WebexTimothy Chou has been a leader in bringing enterprises to the cloud since 1999, when he returned to Oracle to work for Larry Ellison as the President of Oracle On Demand. During his tenure many enterprise customers around the world chose to have their enterprise applications delivered as a cloud service. Since leaving Oracle he returned to Stanford University and started the first class on cloud computing. Based on this class he published his second book “Cloud: Seven Clear Business Models”. The book serves as a text for a ten lecture series he launched at Tsinghua University.
Timothy has been a visible pioneer in evangelizing this major shift in computing. He has appeared in various publications including Forbes, Business Week, The Economist, and New York Times as well as on CNBC and NPR. He has also been a keynote speaker for business, technology and CIO audiences in North America, South America, Asia and Europe. Not content to merely talk about the subject, he has invested time and treasure in a new application cloud service company which is focused on delivering the technology required to power the new service economy.
Timothy holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. He served as a member of the board of directors of Embarcadero Technologies as well as the advisory board of Webex. In 2007 he joined the board of directors at Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB).
David Yen
Executive Vice President; Juniper NetworksDavid Yen, Ph.D., is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Fabric and Switching Technologies Business Group, for Juniper Networks.
Dr. Yen came to Juniper from Sun Microsystems, Inc., where he served in a broad range of executive assignments during his nearly 20-year tenure. In the '90s, his team developed Sun's first- and second-generation multi-CPU SMP servers, which transformed Sun from a workstation company to a leading enterprise server company.
Prior to joining Sun Microsystems in 1988, Dr. Yen was a cofounder of Cydrome, Inc., a mini-supercomputer start-up. He also served in engineering roles at IBM Research and TRW, Inc. Dr. Yen earned a bachelor's in electrical engineering from the National Taiwan University in 1973, and received an MS and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1980. He also completed a General Management Program at Stanford Business School in 1993.
Michael Rodeh

Jeff Bergeron

Vilho Räisänen

Jason Waxman
General Manager, High Density Computing, Data Center Group, Intel CorporationJason Waxman is the General Manager in Intel’s Data Center Group responsible for High Density Servers. His role includes a focus on blade servers, internet datacenters and technology for future dense data center architecture. He is also responsible for Intel’s initiatives in Cloud Computing. Dr. Chandrasekhar (Spike) Narayan
Science and Technology Organization, IBM Almaden Research CenterDr. Chandrasekhar (Spike) Narayan presently leads the Science and Technology Organization at IBM's Almaden Research Center. He is responsible for driving both fundamental and applied research in areas that include nanoscale science and engineering, nanoscale device integration, spin based electronics, advanced materials development and characterization, storage technologies and computational materials science. He is also responsible for driving new programs in the areas water, energy, environment and health care.
Previously, Dr. Narayan has held several research and management positions in both Almaden and Watson Research Laboratories and has received many awards for his technical contributions. In addition, he is a Master Inventor within IBM Research and has over 50 US Patents to his credit. In addition, Dr. Narayan has contributed to the external engineering community by serving as the general and program chair for the IEEE/IEMT Symposium in 1999 and 2000, respectively, and chaired the DRAM Development Alliance Invention Board in 1999.
Dr. Narayan earned his Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgy from Indian Institute of Technology, a Master of Science and a PhD in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Lehigh University.
